I’ve been experimenting with cooking rice on the stovetop with different flavors, and I would like to use the same technique to make cheddar broccoli rice, but I don’t know how to incorporate the cheddar.
The way I usually prepare the rice is the following: - stir fry veges (green onions, cilantro, garlic, tomatoes, etc…) - add in dry rice (already rinsed) and stir fry a minute to mix with veges - add boiling water and seasoning (like sazon, bouillon cube, etc…) - stir - simmer covered from 15 minutes
This is very easy and works with any seasonings/veges I want to incorporate. However, I’m certain if I add cheese it would clump or not mix well into the rice.
In the store bought packets, there is some sort of powdered cheese, which can be mixed into water. Is there any way to replicate that at home? Also, is it possible to do with real cheese instead of powdered?
