I have a tin of Heinz cream of tomato soup in my cupboard and I wanted to eat it for lunch tomorrow but the date on the bottom is November 2023.
I have no sense of smell and a poor sense of taste and have always been this way so I tend to go by dates and the look/feel of the food for my food safety. Is tinned soup okay to eat 2 months later if it looks ok tomorrow? And what should I look out for?
I’ll be cooking it and then keeping it in a thermos for 5 hours until lunchtime.
