Is it safe to use an aluminium foil tray with tomato sauce?

I'm planning on making filled shells with a layer of tomato sauce on the bottom, would it be safe to use an aluminium foil tray or could the acidity be bad? I'll cook one tray straight away but one tray will be frozen and cooked another time.
