I made some really basic pesto sauce last night with walnut, basil, salt, pepper, garlic, olive oil, and parmesan. The recipe called for 2 cloves of garlic, and I wanted it really garlicky so I added 3. They were decently big cloves, too
I tasted a bit and it has a weird hot taste to it. Probably from the raw garlic, I probably should've just gone with 2 cloves 😬😂
Is there anything I can do to fix it? I wonder if cooking it in a pot for a bit would help my cooking the garlic a little to mild it out, or if it could ruin the pesto's other flavors? I'm using the sauce for a pizza, and any leftovers for a little pasta another day probably
