Ceviche shrimp help

So quickly- my parents are making ceviche, one thought to cook the shrimp first, other to cook in lime, shrimp was added in lime then flipped, then tossed into ceviche bowl, i checked a shrimp, opened it up and saw it was still grey inside. My question is do we throw away the ceviche now? I would guess its contaminated right? it was in there for about 5 mins or more
