How would I make a hard on the outside soft on the inside gummy

Hello!

I'm new so sorry if this isn't the right place.

I want to make gummies that have a thin and brittle outershell, that's still strong enough to get knocked around, like an m&m, and have a very gooey inside. They would be small too, no more than 1/2" wide and 1" long. They wouldn't be for eating either so taste doesn't matter. I couldn't find a recipe for something like this at all but I have tried my hand and gotten horrible results
