I got some heavy cream with the intention of making my own butter. However, I remembered that I have a half gallon of whole milk in the fridge that I probably wouldn't use up before the expiration date, so I added that to my stand mixer as well. It's been going for over 10 minutes and I don't think it's going to start separating anytime soon- can I save this?
I thought about trying to put it in a saucepan on low and evaporate the extra water out but wasn't sure if that would mess up the product for making butter
