Will my way of making frozen fries work?

I havn't really used the oven all that much and this question is pretty dumb but how do you make frozen fries in the oven crispy? I heard that you need oil but the only thing I have is cooking spray. Will it still work or not? I plan to put the frozen fries in the bowl, spray it with the cooking spray enough, put seasonings, mix it all together with my hands and finally spray the pan with the spray and put it in the oven.
