Is there a good way to oven-proof a cast iron pan with a wooden handle?

I would like to try out some recipes like cast iron pizza and southern corn bread but the cast iron pan I do have has a handle of wood, so I wonder if I could proof it with aluminum foil or something to keep it from breaking
