Hi folks,
I scored an enameled cast iron Dutch oven for cheap at a yard sale. It's KitchenAid, apparently brand new in the box. Certainly looks to be in perfect condition...
The seller told me because it's been sitting unused, it's 'dried out' and I need to soak it in water before cooking with it, to 'rehydrate it' otherwise it will crack?
This doesn't make sense to me, is there any truth to it?
