Over whipped cream and wasn't able to squeeze the butter milk/ rinse. Is it fixable?

Was whipping our cream and left the mixer, got distracted and now it's past the crumbly stage where I would mold and squeeze the buttermilk and looks like melted whipped butter. Is this salvageable or should we just embrace it and keep it in the fridge for lathering on toast and such?
