is the heavy whipping cream ok to eat

my heavy whipping cream expired about 6 days ago. i tasted it- tasted fine, i initially smelt it- smelt fine. then as i’m making whipped cream, i notice that i am smelling a hint of sour, so i give it another taste and it still tastes fresh. i finished making my cake rn, so do you think it’s ok to eat? or should i toss it out
