Get the most spice and flavour from fresh jalapeño?

Wanting to make nachos tonight for dinner, I have ONE fresh jalapeño pepper and I have never used them before. Just wondering if there is a best way or if anyone has nacho recommendations. I think I like spicy food, I put Sriracha on most things and if not that then it's a blood pressure rising amount of Frank's red hot - I've noticed jalapeños mostly tasting like a green bell pepper in fopds I've eaten in the past.
