I've never been that big into Asian cuisine, personally I find a lot of the flavors aren't something I've ever liked. But recently I've been trying the Chinese/Asian cuisine restaurant in town a little more and had ordered their veggie chow mein, and then a veggie chop suey to start.
I was kind of surprised to find they're a very similar dish, but mainly because I didn't look first. But the chop suey was just buttered vegetables I think? Little to no sauce and served with...extra cabbage...because they were out of bean sprouts...?
Is anyone able to tell me if that's what it normally is? Or did they charge me $25 for a bowl of cooked cabbage pretty much..? As far as I could find it generally is served with rice or noodles. Thanks for any help sorry if this is something everyone does I am starting to get into cooking a lot more and new flavors.
