What is the secret to making an incredibly intense mushroom broth?

I was recently out for a meal and had an amazing mushroom broth which was unlike anything I've had - it had incredibly depth of flavour and an almost oily, buttery texture.

What's the secret? A very long cooking time? Lots of dried mushrooms? Pressure cooker?
