Hi,
During my vacation to Malasia/borneo I vaguely remember eating at a fish restaurant where downstairs you could pick the fish and they would steam it in a chinese manner.
A side dish was a local vegetable that grew only there in the wild. It very much looked like asperge but smaller and it snapped as you could break it. It tasted heavinly.
I think it was around Sandakan Sabah. It was in a town with different religions because some restaurants didn't serve pork and others did. I also believe it was near a coca cola factory.
but ye if anyone remembers what it's called...
