I started making a Limoncello by putting lemon peel in a jar with 95% alcohol.
It was a pity to throw the leftover lemons, so I also juiced them, added sugar and made a syrup.
Now the Limoncello recipe tells me to mix the lemon infused alcohol with a simple syrup.
I was thinking, can I use the lemon syrup itself for this purpose? It sounds very logical step to do but no recipe I found suggest to do this, so what am I missing here?
