So I read online salmon is only really good 1-2 days after defrosting.
I placed my frozen salmon in the fridge on Thursday and by yesterday it was still almost completely frozen. I had triple-bagged it to prevent leaks but I figured this might be slowing the defrost so I removed 2 of the bags yesterday.
Today it feels much softer but still just a little frozen in the center/thickest part. This is a large filet from Costco if that helps convey the size.
Will this salmon be okay to cook tomorrow? Or should I cook it tonight?
And more generally, at what point can you consider salmon in the fridge “thawed”?
