This may be an odd question, but is it possible to wash the added sugar off of dried berries?

I don’t want to go to the store to buy fresh cranberries, but I have a bag of them dried from Trader Joe’s with tons of added sugar on them. I would like to make a cranberry sauce (and am willing for it to not be as good as it would with fresh fruit) and want to get rid of most of the added sugar.

Should I blanche them, soak them and wait an hour, or just rinse? Or am I embarking on a fool’s errand?
