I am making lasagna for Xmas. I am trying to figure out the pan to make it in. I have a Le Creuset red enameled cast iron that is 10x14 but only a little under 3" tall. Obviously this, presentation wise, is my first choice. I also have other 9x13 ceramic casserole pans including one that is around 4.5" tall.
Obviously, if I start building the lasagna and can't fit it, it is game over. There are no redoes.
Is there a way to figure out if it will fit in the Le Creuset?
Basically, I am using 2lb ricotta, 1lb mozzarella, 1 lb pasta, parm, 2.5 ground pork/beef and obviously tomato sauce.
