Rib Roast in Fridge Another Week?

For reasons, I have an extra 4-bone rib roast, still in the vacuum package, which I picked up from the butcher Tuesday. We are cooking one today, expect no leftovers, and will be out of town until Friday.

Can I wrap the thing in cheesecloth and cook it next Friday, which is 9 days after buying? Or will I die of food born illness?
