Cooking time for a beef rib roast

I am cooking a 7.8 pound beef rib roast. It's bone in, 4 bones. It's out of the fridge coming to room temp.

I want to reverse sear in the oven and I want it medium rare.

I was thinking of putting at 225F in the oven until it gets to internal 115F. I'm thinking this might take 2.5 hours.

Then I'll take it out and rest it for 30-60mins. Then right before I carve I'll give it a few minutes blast at 500F.

Does this sound right? How long do you think it should take to get to 115F?
