Hello! I was wondering if someone could give me an answer to something I am wondering about when it comes to French Onion Soup.
It's my first time making French Onion Soup myself, and I want to see if I can do it all by myself.
Apparently, the recipe often calls for sherry, which I know to be alcoholic. I don't really like using alcohols in my cooking (ya know, because of the alcohol), so my main question is do I HAVE to use sherry to make the soup?
What happens if I don't use sherry, and what can I do instead if I don't want to use any alcohols to make the soup?
