Anyone got a suggestion for getting this baked on oil off without scrubbing the heck out of it with a polishing powder? Demeyere stainless pan.

I found a YouTube video that said that you could heat the pan up over a burner, inverted. Then put it in very hot water for 10 minutes and then just scrub the oil right off. Well that didn't work. I don't have gas burners so that was probably part of the problem.

BKF or Brillo Cameo works well enough but it's still a lot of scrubbing.
