I cant handle the taste of garlic powder in anything, am i the odd one out?

Everyone around me thinks im crazy when i gag at the smell of garlic powder. I love garlic cloves and garlic bread etc, but for some reason garlic powder is like kryptonite. The slightest hint of it completely ruins any food it hits. What's up with that?
