I have been debating with this one friend whether a poke bowl is a salad. I didn't think it was since the rice is typically warm/cool and a salad is defined as a cold dish. Also according to wikipedia the fish in a poke bowl is the star, not the vegetables. She then brought up pasta salads and how the pasta was the star. Now I don't know why pasta salads are salads either and I tried googling it, but nothing came up. I was hoping reddit could give me some answers and I'm sorry in advance if this is not the right subreddit for these 2 questions. Thanks for solving this really heated debate!
