Hi all,
I ate steamed crabs for dinner but I can't stop thinking about this.
I put them in the freezer for 3 hours to stun them, but they were still moving. I then swiftly pierced the main nerve after lifting the flap on their lower belly, then pierced their skull.
But, some were still twitching. One actually grabbed my knife, even after piercing the main nerve, until I pierced it's skull. Did I do something wrong? What's the point of piercing the belly nerve if it doesn't kill them?
This was my first time preparing crabs at home so I'm looking to learn and improve for next time for both my sake and the crab's sake.
