How to store dried chile peppers?

I just bought 3 different dried chile peppers from Amazon - Ancho, Guajillo, and Arbol. A buddy told me these have some kind of eggs (??) on the chiles that are harmless, but eventually the eggs will hatch if I leave them in the cabinet for too long (in the bag).

How do I store these? Should I freeze them? I can't seem to find anything about insect eggs on the peppers, is this even true?
