Title, I just got a new cast iron and wanted to make a nice steak. Got the pan ripping hot (I put some water droplets to see if they kind of keep their shape and just jump around) but when I flipped the steak all the nice crust stuck to the pan. It came pre-seasoned so I’m not super sure what went wrong.
Patted the room temp steak dry prior to cooking and used canola oil.
Any advice is appreciated!
