so i cooked a spaghetti sauce

Pretty standard recipe: crushed tomatoes, water, minced meat, various spices ...

Throughout the cooking it developed an intense, face crunching, bitter after taste and i couldn't figure out why. This was way beyond a bit of tomato acidity. While pouring it out i noticed some black flakes and the bottom was mostly burned because my stove top has an issue with authority and "low" is mostly suggestive.

So I'm guessing this is the cause of the face bending bitterness? Also can this batch be saved or is this a wash?
