Hello there. As I stated above, I'm tasked with creating a pumpkin product for one of my classes. I decided to make pumpkin spice jam. I have the flavour and colour down, but I'm having a lot of trouble with the texture.

When I make the jam, the pumpkin doesn't fully break down so there are still visible pumpkin fibers in it. I tried pureeing the pumpkin first (the pumpkin came from my freezer so it was soft enough to puree after thawing) then cooking it with the other ingredients, but the end product was just grainy.

If there is any advice you can give to help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.
