I bought some store-bought ribs and took them out of the freezer last night to thaw. I opened the package and on the edges of the ribs is a bit of a jelly substance, is that normal/ok?
I've not had ribs in 10+ years so I don't know...

I just took them out of the package to put in the oven and noticed a bit of a jelly like substance along the edges.
Is this just fat? What is it? Is it safe to cook and eat these ribs?
