Does the flavor of olive oil taste good in cornbread?

I’m planning on making Adam Ragusa’s recipe for sweet skillet cornbread. He uses vegetable oil. I don’t own it and I won’t buy it because I almost never use recipes that need it and I never feel fry. Will the olive oil taste good?
