Acetone?

So I'm looking at a Scandinavian cookbook, one of the recipes caught my eye, Moon cakes. It calls for flour, butter and acetone. Like nail polish remover?? Is that right?

I asked my friends, one suggested that maybe they meant baking soda but there's other recipes that calls for baking soda.

So what does the acetone add to the recipe? Because it's just those three ingredients with an egg wash.
