Why is American Cuisine so Underrated Globally?

I feel like when the world thinks of American food, they think of ultra-processed food and/or food that’s not really native to America like pizza, hot dog, pasta, burgers, etc. Only saving grace for America might be their steaks and Coca Cola. At first I agreed with them but now thinking about it, there are so many great and lesser known American foods unique to the country but are rarely shared and found in restaurants / culinary arts overseas. I’m talking:

- Jambalaya
- Shrimp and Grits
- Corn Bread
- Hushpuppies
- Seafood Boil
- Collard Greens
- Candied Yams
- Mac and Cheese
- Fried Green Tomatoes
- Southern Fried Chicken
- Buffalo Wings
- Ranch Dressing
- Gumbo
- Roast Turkey
- Pecan/ Pumpkin/ Blackberry/ Blueberry Anything
- Peach Cobbler
- Key Lime Pie
- Wojapi
- Twinkies
- Lobster Rolls
- Cobb Salad
- Poke
- Root Beer
- Texas BBQ
- Clam Chowder
- Philly Cheesesteak

This is not to forget the American Fusion foods like Mexican (Chimichanga), Chinese, (Orange Chicken, Crab Rangoon), Italian (Deep Dish, Chicken Alfredo)
