What are these black flecks at the bottom of my pot

This has probably been answered somewhere else, but:

I was cleaning some oxidation stains from the bottom of my stainless steel pot (I used the boil vinegar method) and when I was scrubbing the pot, I noticed these black flecks at the bottom. Are these normal for stainless steel/is this anything to be concerned with?
