Makeup fridge for Kimchi

I've been trying to figure out how to store kimchi without my entire fridge smelling and it seems like an impossible task. I've tried using airtight mason jars with boxes of baking soda in the fridge and it still stinks. It's really a problem for me cuz I like to store drinking water in the fridge and I don't want my drinking water to taste like sour garlic.

I see people recommending mini fridges for kimchi but that seems like overkill. I just buy a 500 g box of kimchi and eat it in a month. I imagine a lot of other people do the same.

I'm honestly surprised I've never seen people suggest makeup fridges though. Makeup fridges seem like the perfect size but apparently they don't store things at The recommended temperature for kimchi. Online it says you should be storing kimchi from 0 to 5° c and it seems like most makeup fridges Just keep things around 8° or a little higher. Would it be a bad idea to buy one of these for kimchi?
