My sister "gifted" us a homemade strawberry jam with $$$ strawberries from the farmers' market. It may have been a gift, or perhaps she is angry with me. I don't know what she did but the jam is inedibly sweet. You could get diabetes just by looking at it.
She made one for my grandmother, too. She had the sense to refuse the gift. No such luck here, it was sitting on my porch step when I came home.
I feel bad about throwing it away. Nor do I want to poison the water supply.
Is there anything I can do to improve it? I feel like cooking it down will reduce the strawberry flavors and intensify the sugar even more. Any other ideas?
Short of using it to attract the world's largest ant farm or turning it into a lava lamp, are there any other options?
