Issues with kids Kraft Mac and cheese

I’ve preferred the kids variety of Kraft my whole life, and usually I’m able to make a box very easily. But lately, the noodles have been overcooking so quickly. The process goes: get the pot to a rolling boil, put the noodles in, let them cook while stirring. Sometimes it’ll boil over but I lower the heat/take it off the burner (could this be it?). Then I try an individual noodle until it tastes done, then I’m good. But lately they’ve been overcooking and separating so fast. Am I boiling my water too hot? What’s up?
