Vacuum chamber marination - Does it work at all?

Is there absolutely any benefit putting meat into a container in marinade and running it a few times through a chamber sealer's marinating function, which runs a vacuum for about 90 seconds. The manufacturer recommends doing it 2-3 times in a row then you're done.

Or is it a 100% completely futile exercise? If so, it's weird that a company would be this blatant and label a button called 'Marinate' (Avid Armor USV30)
