Do you need to cook store bought chicken stock?

So I've been making homemade chicken noodle soup based on a recipe I found on instagram for my meal prep. I've been using 8 cups of College Inn Unsalted Chicken Stock each time and cooking my chicken and vegetables in a crockpot with the stock. However, after shredding the chicken and adding my noodles, the soup becomes less of a soup as a lot of the stock seems to get absorbed.

So, after everything is cooked, would it be safe to just add another container(4 cups) of stock to the soup or does it need to be heated to a certain temperature first?
