My angel food cake is a bit moist for my trifle can I toast like croutons?

I’ve got a tray of cut up angel food cake that I baked that’s a little stickier than ideal… I’m considering putting in a low temp oven for a bit to dry it out before I assemble. Ok idea or terrible? (Serving this in like 5 hours so limited time to reevaluate the plan)
