I know you guys don’t take submissions on food safety, but I’m gonna throw these things out anyway so I just want to know what might have gone wrong.
Yesterday my grandma gave us some chocolate crinkle cookies she’d left in the freezer in a plastic bag/box. We left them out on the counter and today I dug in, excited to enjoy them. Of course I wasn’t too happy when I found they tasted like cigarette smoke. They smell absolutely fine and have perfect texture, too; it’s just the taste that’s weird. Anyone know what it might be?
