Pie Temperature Instructions Question

When a pie recipe says, "cook for 15 minutes @ 425, then reduce to 350 and cook for 45 minutes" does that mean to

a) turn the heat down to 350 at 15 minutes and keep the door closed for 45 minutes more, or

b) take the pie out after 15 minutes, wait until the oven temp is down to 350 and then put back in for 45 minutes?
