Moved into a new house that has a gas stove, which I've never had before. The first time I used the oven, the control panel got very very hot, like unable to touch the buttons to set the timer. I called GE and the service guy told me that was normal as the chimney vents directly under the control panel area and refused to come look at it. Is this normal?
